Happy New Year, everyone. It is really my first blog post of 2017, and I’m posting some of the goals We’ve for Baxter and myself personally for the year in front.

1. Take a dog training category.

Ongoing training is valuable for our own dogs, ourselves along with our bond. Is a way to try new things and have fun. It’s been awhile since Baxter and I do formal classes with each other. I don’t know exactly what we’re going to try, but I’m looking forward to finding something more challenging for us to experience collectively.

2. Better dental care.

The greatest trick we have to have care of Baxter’s teeth is usually giving him some sort of soup bone every so often. Chewing the cuboid bone chips the tartar out of his teeth along with keeps them nice white. However, there are many teeth where imply that work quite as nicely, and I’ve noticed some of his gums seem a lttle bit discoloured.

Teeth health is important for you to overall health. This year, I am just aiming to do a much better job of regular dental brushing, along with the our bones.

3. Go back to basics.

Off teather hiking is one of Baxter’s and also my favourite activities. On the other hand, as I’ve penned before, dude contains a very big comfort zone and frequently ventures farther off from me than I enjoy. On our closing hikes of in 2009, he would occasionally pick out his own adventure for up to 15 minutes at a time.

Even however I’m proud of exactly how he would eventually go back to me, it continually made me anxious when he disappeared. And for the other individuals we’re hiking with, standing around waiting for her to catch up or perhaps walking back along side trail with me to search out him isn’t the most fun.

We’re going to start this season by focusing on common obedience. Spending time about recall, leash hauling, rules, boundaries in addition to limitations will help to bolster our bond to make sure that when we return to off leash activities, they really are enjoyable for both of people.

I enjoy setting goals at the start of each year. They help people to prioritize what’s most crucial and provide a focus the residual year.

And what’s biggest is lots of time utilizing my dog, experiencing as much as possible and doing fun things with each other.

Do you have any aims or New Season’s resolutions for your puppy?

What would you like to focus on using your dog over the next year?

Any suggestions of exciting classes I should research?
